Before the Kingsman redefined what sophisticated secret service should look like, stopping the world’s greatest threats looked a lot less glamorous. The King’s Man, which will explore the origin story of the suavest secret service in the world, is all set to be released soon.
What is The King’s Man about?
The upcoming film will be a prequel to the popular spy action films, Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017). The films are based on the The Secret Service comic book series by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. They revolve around the Kingsman, a private intelligence agency based in Britain who make it their mission to discreetly put a stop to dangerous international threats.
The King’s Man will explore the origin story of the agency, and tells the story of a man who is tasked with thwarting the plans of a group of dangerous criminals who want to wage a devastating war.
Who are the cast and crew behind The King’s Man?
The upcoming spy film features an ensemble cast including Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance.
The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn, who also directed the first two Kingsman films starring Taron Egerton and Colin Firth. The film’s screenplay was written by Vaughn along with Karl Gajdusek.
