The spin-off prequel and the third film in The King’s Man franchise is all set for its theatrical release. Helmed by Matthew Vaughn, the action thriller is based on the comic book The Secret Service, authored by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.
The story is a narrative on history’s worst tyrants and criminals, who team up to plot a war to kill millions of people. The plot progresses with the idea of one man being ready to stop them. The screenplay for the movie is co-written by the director and Karl Gajdusek.
The movie is distributed under 20th Century Studio’s title, who released an extravagant poster of the film with the release date on their social media handles. “It's time to show the world who the King’s men are! #TheKingsMan coming in cinemas near you on January 14”, the caption reads. It is also mentioned in the poster that the movie will be available in English as well as Hindi.
The movie serves as a prequel to the 2014 movie Kingsman: The Secret Service and the 2017 movie Kingsman: The Golden Circle. It features a handful of talented cast which includes Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson and Charles Dance. Vaughn, David Reid and Adam Bohling who are on the board as producers, with the production banner of Marv Studios and Cloudy productions.
The movie faced several delays due to the ongoing COVID-19. It is now finally all set for a grand opening on January 14, 2022.
