The latest instalment in the Kingsman franchise is all set to hit theatres this month. The makers have recently unveiled the final trailer of the Matthew Vaughn directorial, which gives viewers a closer look at the threats which necessitated the formation of the suave spy organisation.
The trailer opens with a piece of history long time Kingsman fans are sure to be familiar with, how an ordinary English tailor shop became a front for one of the world’s first private intelligence agencies. As the trailer progresses viewers are introduced to the group of villains whom the Kingsman must face off against to save humanity- history’s most evil legends as the trailer calls them.
They include fictionalised versions of many infamous figures in history, including Gavrilo Princip, Mata Hari and Grigori Rasputin, giving a hilarious run down of each one’s strengths and weaknesses. Rife with some stylish action sequences, state of the art weaponry and the witticisms that have become the trademark of the franchise, the trailer promises a worthy successor to the previous popular films of the series.
The King’s Man features an ensemble cast, which includes Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance.
The upcoming prequel film is directed by Vaughn who has also helmed the previous works in the franchise, Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017). The film’s screenplay was written by Vaughn along with Karl Gajdusek.
The King’s Man will be released in theatres in India on December 31.
