The latest entrant in Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor's RC16 is...

Popular cinematographer Rathnavelu has officially been onboarded on the team of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer RC16. The official update was shared by the makers of the film on the cinematographer’s birthday. “Team #RC16 welcomes the master lensman.. Happy Birthday to the acclaimed cinematographer and the man who delivers stunning visuals, @RathnaveluDop #RamCharanRevolts (sic)”, the makers wrote on social media whicle sharing a photograph of the cinematographer getting off a helicopter. 

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film's team is currently scouting for suitable locations in the north coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, Buchi Babu had worked with Rathnavelu when he was assisting acclaimed filmmaker Sukumar.

Shivarajkumar to play a supporting role in RC16

Although not many details about the film have been revealed yet, it is reported that the film has Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar playing a supporting role. The project, backed by Mythri Movie Makers, is said to be a massive one and is being made on a huge budget.

Although the makers are yet to make final announcements regarding the cast and crew, Academy Award-winner AR Rahman has been reportedly roped in to score the music for RC16.

Boney Kapoor on Janhvi Kapoor’s second Telugu project

As reported earlier, Janhvi Kapoor's father, producer Boney Kapoor, had confirmed speculations around the Bawal actress’ involvement in Ram Charan's film. The producer said that Janhvi, who has already finished shooting her part for the Jr NTR-starrer Devara, will soon begin shooting for Ram Charan’s film.

“My daughter has already shot for a film with Jr NTR. She’s enjoying every bit of the day she spends on sets. Soon she will start a film with Ram Charan too,” Boney Kapoor revealed recently.
