The Night Manager creator Sandeep Modi collaborates with Karan Johar; calls him ‘one of the finest producers of our era’

Sandeep Modi, the writer and creator of Disney+ Hotstar’s crime thriller web series The Night Manager, is all set to work with Karan Johar on two upcoming projects, under Dharma Production. 

The announcement comes ahead of the release of the second season of The Night Manager - starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome and Saswata Chatterjee, among others.

While news reports suggest that they have signed a two-film deal, Sandeep seems quite tightlipped about the projects. However, speaking about the collaboration, he said, “Karan Johar is one of the finest producers of our era. The freedom and excitement I have felt working with him is a joy for any filmmaker. The producers shall reveal more details about the film at the apt time.”He also said that they are working on an ambitious story, and he is extremely excited about it. 

Sandeep is known for co-creating the award-winning Sushmita Sen-starrer web series Aarya, while he has also penned the script for short films like The Exile, The Lottery, and Best Friends Forever, among others.

The Night Manager - Part 2 releases on Disney+ Hotstar on June 30.
