The second season of The Night Manager finally dropped on Amazon Prime Video on January 11 (OTTplay Premium's subscribers can also watch it with a top-up option). The espionage thriller series returned with more mysteries and action after a decade since Season 1’s release in 2016, with Tom Hiddleston back as Jonathan Pine. Only the first three episodes from Season 2 have dropped now, and the rest of the three episodes will be out on a weekly basis, every Sunday, till February 1, 2026.

What do the first three episodes of The Night Manager Season 2 show

Nine years after he handed over Richard Roper to his Syrian captors, Jonathan Pine has become a low-level intelligence officer working with MI6. But his life soon takes a turn when he encounters a mercenary in London, who is a dangerous Colombian businessman, drawing him back into espionage thrills to expose conspiracies.

The first episode opens with a sequence set four years after the events of Season 1. Pine and Angela Burr meet in Syria to secretly identify the body of Richard Roper, confirming his death. In the present day, Jonathan lives in London and manages an MI6 surveillance unit called ‘Night Owls’. In the second episode, Pine assumes a new alias, Matthew Ellis, and travels to Colombia to infiltrate the businessman’s organisation.

The third episode ends with Jonathan earning the trust of the businessman Teddy Dos Santos and uncovers evidence that links the illegal Cartagena cargo directly to British Intelligence, revealing a bigger corruption.
