The makers of the Malayalam film, The Pet Detective, announced that it will soon be released on the big screen today (October 5). It has been announced that the light-hearted drama, which stars Anupama Parameswaran and Sharaf U Dheen in the key roles, would be premiered in theatres by the middle of this month.

The Praneesh Vijayan-directed film was originally scheduled to premiere on the big screen in April of this year, but for unspecified reasons, it was postponed. The film's producers have officially stated through a poster that the film will be released in theatres on October 16. The Pet Detective will be available in theatres on the specified date, along with Rima Kallingal's Theatre: The Myth of Reality. It has also been revealed that a trailer will be out soon.

Tony Jose Alula joins his father's detective agency with the intention of getting married to his lover, Kaikeyi Menon. Tony begins his career as a `Pet Detective`, but his cases soon turn into a risky kidnapping involving foreign smugglers. The main plot point of the movie is how Tony must solve the case and demonstrate that he is deserving of Kaikeyi's love while his opponent Inspector Rajath is always in his way.
Additionally, Vinay Forrt and Joemon Jyothir play important roles in this comedy. The screenplay for this family entertainer was written by Jai Vishnu and the director. The Pet Detective's cinematography was directed by Anend C. Chandran.
