The Goblin-fame Kim Go Eun has back-to-back two absolutely opposite K-dramas in 2025. While one is You and Everything Else, a heartwarming Netflix drama that focuses on two bestfriends, another one is The Price of Confession, a mystery-thriller, that's coming in December on Netflix again. Interestingly, The Price of Confession marks the reunion of Kim Go Eun and Jeon Do Yeon, who previously worked in Memories of the Sword movie in 2015.
The mystery-thriller K-drama will be released on Netflix on December 5, 2025. The Price of Confession consists of twelve episodes, focusing on two female leads with antisocial characteristics.
Jeon Do Yeon plays Ahn Yoon Su (A woman accused of her husband's murder)
Kim Go Eun plays Mo Eun (A mysterious prison inmate nicknamed a 'witch' who makes a deal with Ahn Yoon-su)
Park Hae Soo plays Baek Dong Hoon (A conscientious prosecutor investigating the case)
Jin Seon Kyu plays Jang Jeong Gu (A lawyer and former boxer who works to prove Ahn Yoon-su's innocence)
Choi Young Joon plays Jin Young In (Mo Eun's public defender)
The K-drama focuses on a major crime of Ahn Yoon Su who's accused of murdering her husband. She finds herself locked up in prison yet making risky deals with another female inmate named Mo Eun. This alliance is far from simple because the other inmate agrees to step up and confess to the murder herself. However, this crucial 'confession' does not come for free, rather comes at a significant price.
The set up promises an intense drama with gripping suspense that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The core of the plot revolves around the dark bargain that leads to emotional trauma and constant betrayal. As the fake confession gets closer to happening, the line between what's actually true and what's a lie becomes blurred. Viewers can expect a tense thriller that explores how one person's freedom depends entirely on another person's fabricated story.
The 1-minute-46-second video opens with Ahn Yoon Su reporting her husband's severe injury, immediately followed by his funeral. During police procedural, Yoon Su's distracted nature raises major suspicion despite her claim of innocence. Her unresponsive attitude leads her to imprisonment.
The teaser takes viewers to the next chapter of Yoon Su's life when she meet Mo Eun in prison. Though their partnership quickly sours when Yoon Su slaps Mo Eun, the video ends with the cryptic line, “We will end up doing this crazy thing,” leaving viewers wondering about the strange plan they are breeding.
