Prabhas is doing multiple films and one of them is The Raja Saab, a horror comedy being directed by Maruthi Dasari. The biggie was supposed to hit the screens on April 10, 2025, but has been postponed to a further date. Ever since the news came out that the film has been postponed, fans were quite disappointed and have been waiting for a new release date.
Latest update on The Raja Saab release date
Sometime back, news came out that The Raja Saab will be out during the Dussehra festival in October 2025. But now we at OTTplay have learned exclusively that The Raja Saab is out of the release race for 2025. One of the sources close to the film has revealed to us that the makers are in plans to release the film during Sankranthi 2026.
This decision has been taken as the second half of 2025 is filled with other films Vishwambhara, Mirai, Akhanda 2, and several other biggies. People Media Factory is the production house behind the film, and they have landed in some financial trouble, and that is one of the major reasons for the film to be delayed as well.
Also, Prabhas sustained a leg injury during the shooting of his other film Fauji, which has caused a delay in the completion of The Raja Saab. Touted to be a horror comedy, this is the first time that Prabhas is acting in this genre. He will be seen in a double role as per the news, and one of them is an aged old man. The first look of the same has also gone viral a few months ago.
The Raja Saab gets delayed time and again
On the other hand, Maruthi, the director, who is known to make at least two films a year, is stuck with The Raja Saab for more than a year now. Thaman has composed the music, and as the film has been getting delayed time and again, he has started composing afresh, and we at OTTplay also reported the same a few days ago.
