Prabhas has been taking on back-to-back projects in his career, and one of the most anticipated among them is The Raja Saab, a horror-comedy directed by Maruthi. Originally scheduled for release in April 2025, the film has faced multiple delays due to Prabhas' injury, which forced the makers to postpone the shoot several times. As per reports, the film is yet to finalize a new release date and is now expected to hit theatres only by the end of the year.
In a surprising development, we at OTTplay have learned that the makers have scrapped all the songs from the film. Confirming the same in a recent interview, music director Thaman revealed that four songs had already been composed nearly a year ago.

However, with the film’s prolonged delay, the team decided to discard them and start fresh. "We felt the songs had lost their sheen over time. Since we now have ample time on our hands, we have started composing new tracks," Thaman explained.
The Raja Saab marks Prabhas' first venture into the horror-comedy genre, generating excitement among fans eager to see how he handles humour after a long gap. Maruthi, known for his expertise in comedy capers and romantic dramas, has never worked with a superstar of Prabhas' stature before. This collaboration has created significant buzz, as fans eagerly await how the actor will blend his charm with the genre’s comedic elements.
Adding to the film’s intrigue, Prabhas will be seen in a unique, vintage-style avatar. Produced by People Media Factory, the film has been made on a massive budget of over ₹200 crore. However, reports suggest that the production house is facing financial challenges, contributing to the film’s delays. Though these concerns have not been officially confirmed, they remain a topic of speculation.
The film stars Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan as the female leads. With Thaman now reworking the entire soundtrack, it remains to be seen how the new compositions turn out. Stay tuned for more updates on The Raja Saab.
