The Ride: This Malayalam thriller's teaser points to six passengers being scrutinised for their 'sins'

The Ride, another Malayalam thriller, will be released in theatres the coming Friday (December 5). A week before the film's theatrical premiere, the filmmakers released a teaser that hinted at its plot.

"Let me ask you something...just by looking at someones' face can you determine how much of a sinner he or she is," an unidentified voiceover says in the 50-second film. He then asks, "What should be he criterion to distinguish sins as big or small" . The teaser makes it quite evident that the movie's central theme is how a group of passengers' unexpected and tragic events during a vehicle ride are a reflection of their own circumstances.

The Ride Release Date Update

The thriller, which has Prashanth Murali, Ann Sheetal, and Sudhi Koppa in major roles, will be released on December 5, according to a new poster unveiled by the makers last week. The lead roles in this Ritesh Menon-directed film are also played by Mala Parvathy, Srikanth Murali, and Gopika Manjusha. For her small part in Jhanvi Kapoor's most recent film, Param Sundari, Gopika became popular. Suhas Shetty created the story of the movie. Ritesh Menon and Suhas Shetty wrote the screenplay and dialogues for The Ride. 

Sources claim that The Ride, which is touted to be an exciting thriller, will also feature a well-known Malayalam actor. The film's editing was directed by Sooraj ES, who won this year's State Award for Best Editor for Eko's director Dinjith Ayyathan's sophomore film, Kishkinda Kaandam. On December 5, Mammootty's eagerly awaited Kalamkaval will also be released. In addition to The Ride, Khajuraaho Dreams, a long-awaited Malayalam film starring Sreenath Bhasi, Arjun Ashokan and Sharaf U Dheen, and Indrajith Sukumaran's Dheeram would also debut on the same day. In light of all of this, fans of the genre would be thrilled to see three Malayalam thrillers on the big screen on one day.
