Trisha's revenge thriller, The Road, which is helmed by debutant Arun Vaseegaran, is gearing up to drop in theatres on October 6. The film is said to be an action-packed venture where Trisha is out seeking revenge. Here's all you need to know about the film.

An impressive trailer
The trailer begins with the Friedrich Nietzsche quote, “In revenge and in love woman is more barbaric than man is". Going by the trailer, it looks like Trisha's character is out to solve a mystery where a series of vehicles meet with an accident at a particular part of the highway. As she takes off on the road, things take a murky turn when the vehicles she has been after go missing. It looks like there will be a lot of travel in the film. The film's tagline, 'Revenge in 462 kms' also hints at an action-packed entertainer​.

A plot to keep you hooked
It's not often that you see films that have women protagonists seeking revenge. So, it would be interesting to see Trisha's journey to achieve her mission. Giving her apt company is Mia George. The thriller is based on a real-life incident from the 2000s that also involves a drug cartel.

Star cast
The film's ensemble star cast includes Dancing Rose Shabeer Kallarakkal, Santhosh Prathap, Mia George, MS Bhaskar, Vela Ramamoorthy, Vivek Prasanna, Laxmi Priya, Semmalar Annam, Vinoth and Karup​pu Nambiyaar to name a few.

Technical crew
Sam CS has scored the music. While the cinematography is by KG Venkatesh, editing is by AR Shivaraj. Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed the stunts.

An October 2023 Release
The Road, bankrolled by AAA Cinemaa Pvt Limited, is all set to hit screens on October 6. The film is all set to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and will clash with Vijay Antony's Raththam and Vikram Prabhu's Irugapatru.The OTT partner for the film is yet to be announced.
