After all the criticism still coming its way, the real royals issued a statement to the makers about how the entire (fictionalized) series is an insult to their lifestyle. "If it didn’t work for some people, I will try better next time," Priyanka told India Today over the backlash for The Royals. While stating that there are people who enjoyed the show too, Priyanka finds it crazy how polarized the feedback for her show has been.

Ishaan Khatter initially had a fashionable wardrobe

Beyond The Clouds actor Ishaan Khatter originally had a fashionable wardrobe, the director revealed. She went on to spill how the actor is aware about the demand of the character and would've chosen to wear an attire rather than be shirtless if it were the script's demand. "There were times when he even discussed if we were overdoing it. There was actually an amazing fashionable wardrobe for him, and we would have loved to use more clothes on him," she shared.

Zeenat Aman's role was always a cameo

Zeenat Aman was among one of the most loved characters on The Royals. Fans were disappointed to see how her role was limited in the series starring Ishaan and Sonchiriya actress Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. Priyanka confirmed that The Great Gambler actress Zeenat Aman's role was never meant to be a full track. "Whenever we have legendary superstars making cameo appearances, we crave more, and the same happened with Zeenat ma’am," she stated. Apart from Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar's track caught people's eye.

The potential for The Royals season 2

The Royals might have been renewed for season 2. Ishaan Khatter dropped hints about the same during an interview in which he said that Zeenat Aman could be back as the secret confidante and Nora Fatehi or Dino Morea could shine out as the real villain. Of course, the story for the second season might not follow, but the team has definitely hinted that they are eager for a new season and so, we might just get it!
