The trailer of Ishaan Khatter-Bhumi Pednekar's The Royals is finally out, and to call it a dramatic 'royal mess' is also an understatement. This promo promises to take you into the world of show-off culture, where 'culture' overpowers practicality and you are left with some laughs. Here's a glimpse of it...

Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar each try to stay in the limelight with The Royals trailer but barely succeed. Ishaan shines towards the end when he finds the bill and behaves just like you would expect a bankrupt royal to behave. Saand Ki Aankh actress Bhumi keeps it subtle with her digs at the royal family, and we have just touched the tip of what is to come.

Another trailer we await with bated breath

While The Royals trailer is unveiled, there is another trailer that we are waiting for with bated breath. You guessed it! Huma Qureshi's Maharani season 4 is on our mind, and we're now waiting to see if it can overcome the game of power when it comes to royalty. The Royals and Kull have left us mostly disinterested, but who knows?

About The Royals

The Royals is the love story between Aviraaj Singh of Morpur (played by Ishaan Khatter) and Sophia Shekhar (Bhumi Pednekar), who is the CEO of Work Potato. Theirs is a weird love story, for it is more of a business deal. Sophia is the brains, while Aviraj brings in the looks. She steps in to save the ultimate Indian royal family from bankruptcy while hoping to become a part of them.

Talking about it, Bhumi called her character 'aspirational and deeply relatable' at the trailer launch. Ishaan, on the other hand, was just glad for an opportunity to work with accomplished actors.

Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, The Royals also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Chunky Pandey, Vihaan Samat and Milind Soman in pivotal roles. The series is scheduled for May 9 release.
