It is well-known that Kamal Haasan and Sivakarthikeyan will collaborate on a film, written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy (of Rangoon fame). While the shooting of this untitled film is expected to start later this year, renowned stunt choreographer duo Anbariv, awaiting the release of Vikram, has said, this Sivakarthikeyan-starrer will be "high on patriotism".

In a recent interview, Anbariv, who has worked on Vijay's Beast and Yash's KGF 2, revealed the makers are planning to make it, "a big-budgeted pan Indian film."

The cast and crew are yet to be officially announced, although grapevine has it that Rashmika Mandanna, Sai Pallavi and composer Harris Jayaraj have been roped into the project. The film will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, in association with Sony Pictures Films India, and R Mahendran. So far, speculations are abuzz that the film will either be a period drama or a superhero vehicle.

Sivakarthikeyan had worked with Rajkumar Periyasamy on a private Tamil channel, and the duo had collaborated on many reality shows for the small screen.

The actor also has a Telugu-Tamil bilingual in his kitty. The latest update is that Thaman is on board as the music composer of the film, directed by Jathi Ratnalu-fame Anudeep.

The film, produced by Suresh Productions and Sri Venkateswara Creations LLP, has Ukrainian model and actor Maria Ryaboshapka playing the female lead. Sivakarthikeyan welcomed the actor who was recently seen in Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, on Twitter. The film went on floors last month in Karaikudi. This yet-to-be-titled film has Baahubali fame Sathyaraj, Naveen Polishetty and Premgi, playing important roles.

Sivakarthikeyan also has the long-awaited Ayalaan, directed by R Ravi Kumar, gearing up for release.

Don, which will hit the screens next week, is billed as a youthful entertainer set in a college backdrop. The film has Sivakarthikeyan playing the role of a college student for the first time in his acting career.
