The Smile Man trailer OUT: Sarathkumar plays cat-and-mouse chase game with copycat killer

We had earlier reported that actor Sarathkumar's upcoming film The Smile Man is all set to hit theatres on December 27. Ahead of the release, the trailer of the film was released by the makers on social media, on Monday, December 23. The Smile Man is a crime thriller film directed by Syam and Praveen.

The Smile Man trailer is out

The Smile Man is an upcoming Tamil film featuring Sarathkumar in the lead role. The film marks the actor's 150th outing. The trailer of the film was released on Monday.

A crime thriller, The Smile Man trailer begins with a series of murders taking place, in which the victims' mouths are scarred and damaged. With the police deducing that it is one person responsible for all the murders, a probe is launched. A senior officer is brought onboard, who is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and his memories are fading out. As he understands that it is a copycat killer on the loose, the trailer shows how the cop is trying to find who the killer is. The Smile Man is expected to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller, revolving around the cat-and-mouse chase between the killer and cop.

Apart from Sarathkumar, the film also stars actors Sri Kumar, Sijaa Rose, Ineya, George Maryan, Rajkumar, Kumar Natarajan, and Baby Azhiya. The Smile Man has been censored with a U/A certificate.

The OTT rights of The Smile Man have been bagged by Aha Tamil. The film will also be made available on the OTTplay Premium app after its theatrical run. The Smile Man is helmed by Syam and Praveen duo. The technical crew consists of music scored by Gavaskar Avinash with the story penned by Kamala Alchemis. Vikram Mohan has shot the film and San Lokesh has handled the edits.

The Smile Man is scheduled to hit theatres on December 27. Salildas, Aneesh Haridasan, and Anandan T are producing the film.
