As the critics and fans of late actor Irrfan Khan are appreciating the last film of the actor, The Song of Scorpions, young actor Shashank Arora, who played a pivotal part in the film, talks about promoting such films more often and what Khan's reaction was after watching Shashank's performance.

In a conversation with OTTplay, while asked about his frame of mind post-release of the film, Shashank said, "Of course, I am happy that the film is released in theatres, but I also feel that it should become easier to release more films like this because it took quite some time for the makers to release a beautiful film like The Song of Scorpions. I am fortunate to work with artists like Irrfan and Golshifteh Farhani and a director like Anup Singh. I hope people talk about and promote more films like this."

The film was screened for the first time at the 70th Locarno Film Festival in Locarno, Switzerland, in 2017 and has travelled to several international film festivals since then.

Asked if he and Irrfan watched the film together, Shashank said, "No, I couldn't do that; we watched the film separately; but after watching the film, Irrfan sir messaged me, and those were the most beautiful messages that a young actor can ever receive from an actor of his calibre."

When asked to share more details of those messages, Shashank promptly replied, "I cannot share and will never share with anyone else. They are for me and not for the world."

The Songs of Scorpions also stars Waheeda Rehman, Shashank Arora, Kritika Pande, Sara Arjun, and Tillotama Shome. The film recently hit the big screen.
