While many fans are excited after getting the ‘happy ending’ for Belly and Conrad, some fans call it a messed-up experience that left them unsatisfied. The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 finale gave fans what they were waiting for since the previous episodes, i.e., a happy ending for Bonrad (Belly and Conrad). However, Jenny Han’s book adaptation met with mixed reactions from fans after they expressed their concerns for the incomplete ending. Although Belly chooses Conrad in an emotionally charged love confession, some netizens dubbed it as incoherent, while others expressed a strong desire to witness a concluding part soon. One fan wrote, “Finally done with the summer I turned pretty season 3. Anyway, they better bring a concluding part of their story.”

Another said, “Blows my mind that Jenny Han had the chance to massively improve on the mess that was book 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty and instead chose to keep the TV show as incoherent and unsatisfying as the original.”

For the unversed, Jenny Han has greenlit a full-length feature film for The Summer I Turned Pretty after season 3 premiered on September 17. Fans are expecting more of Belly and Conrad’s story in the upcoming film on Prime Video.
