Tushar Amrish Goel’s The Taj Story reignited flames of controversy surrounding the Taj Mahal’s origin as a tomb or a temple when it dropped its official poster of the upcoming film. In the poster, Paresh Rawal is seen peeking inside the dome of the Taj Mahal and is surprised to see Lord Shiva’s idol emerging from it. Later, Paresh Rawal deleted the poster from his social media and shared a statement from the makers that they are not trying to hurt any religious sentiments and viewers will decide their opinion after watching the film.

Meanwhile, Taj Mahal grabbed headlines when the claims of Tejo Mahalaya surfaced and challenged the historical facts that Taj Mahal is not a mausoleum but was instead a temple, which was restructured to make the marvellous monument.
