A new unscripted reality series titled The Traitors will debut on Prime Video on June 12, 2025. Karan Johar will host the Indian adaptation of the format, which has been a smashing hit around the world. Prime Video India is the only place you can watch new episodes every Thursday at 8 PM IST.

The local version of IDTV's format, which has won BAFTA and Emmy Awards, is created by BBC Studios India Productions for the Indian edition. A partnership with international distributor All3Media International has resulted in the acquisition of the adaptation rights. With 35 localisations in over 30 countries, the series has already achieved tremendous success on a global scale.
Johar will host the show, which will feature twenty personalities from all walks of life vying for a large financial prize. Players compete as either "Traitors" or "Faithfuls" with the goal of outwitting the opposing side in a game that centres on deception, strategy, and psychological drama.

Calling Karan Johar (who produced Simmba and Gyaarah Gyaarah) the perfect choice to host this season's show since he knows how to get the most out of the 20 celebrities competing for the grand prize and the chance to be named champion.
