The Umbrella Academy’s new teasing video does little to quench the yearning for Season 4

As part of its Geeked Week, Netflix dropped a video of The Umbrella Academy cast offering fans a whiff of the upcoming season. But no more than that. The spectacular sci-fi series had been renewed for its fourth and final season back in 2022.

Season 4 of The Umbrella Academy will probably be available in 2024. The confirmed cast for the season includes Elliot Page (Viktor), Tom Hopper (Luther), David Castaneda (Diego), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison), Aidan Gallagher (Number Five), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Ritu Arya (Lila), Justin H. Min (Ben), and others. New additions to the cast include, but are not limited to Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman, and David Cross.

In the teaser video, Arya begins by declaring it the best season yet and Gallagher cheekily admitting that they will be hyping people up for the wait till Season 4 without revealing anything. Page promises the season to have, “excitement, surprises humor.” Castaneda warns fans of the season’s wackiness as well as notes of “bittersweetness”, while Raver-Lampan does the same more ominously, “really, really packed with the classic Umbrella Academy family nonsense.”

Hopper notes that they have hit the ground running and assures “mayhem” and Ben only signs off with his keyword, “sexy.” The cast further promise new characters and Castaneda declares this season to be his favourite among all. The video ends with the unmissable Sheehan sharing pearls of wisdom in classic Klaus style, “Fans, expect nothing and you will get everything.”

Season 3 had ended with the Hargreeves siblings somehow making it to a newly reset Universe, albeit with a pregnant Lisa and a missing Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez) after surviving the Kugelblitz and Hotel Oblivion. But, here they have no powers and no Umbrella or Sparrow Academy. Instead, Luther’s partner is missing and the futuristic city they are in, is controlled by an alien Reginald Hargreeves and his wife Abigail Hargreeves.
