The Walking Dead is set for the final showdown and its final season on AMC+. While the wait for it seems longer, you could seek refuge in the news that the thrill is only to increase with two new faces joining the 11th season. Alongside Norman Reedus, Melissa Mcbride, Jeffrey Dean, Christian Serratos, Lauren Cohan, Khary Peyton, and Seth Gilliam, the big ensemble cast will see Ian Anthony Dale and Laurie Fortier in the last season, as per Deadline. While the details about both the characters have been kept under wraps, Ian Anthony Dale will play the role of Tomi, whose character brief has been pitched as an old member of a group that was recently discovered by the survivors. It is conjectured that the character Tomi is significant in the 11th season because she will have a major impact on the group of heroes of the well-loved post-apocalyptic horror series. Laurie Fortier will most likely essay the role of Agatha, but more details about her character are not out yet.

Dale was last seen on CBS’ Hawaii Five-O, playing Adam Noshimuri. He is also known for featuring in series like CBS’ All Rise, where he played D.A. Louis Bravo. Fortier is best known for her performance in Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, and The In Crowd.

Laila Robins and Pamela Milton will also join the cast.

At the Comic-Con@Home panel that was held virtually, Angela Kang, the showrunner of The Walking Dead, said that two more actors are to join the narrative in the last season. Laila Robins will star as the Commonwealth leader Pamela Milton while Hamilton will essay the role of Commonwealth official Lance Hornby.

Scott M Gimple, the Chief Content Officer of Deadverse revealed on the panel that the fans can expect a ‘big story’ to close the long-running series, taking up a ‘lot of turns.’ Adding to the excitement of every fan of the series, he said that the makers are looking to bring in fresh perspectives in the season after every eight episodes, reinventing the storyline as it races towards the finish. He also stated that the season plans to end with a bang with an ‘extended epic goodbye.’

The trailer of the final season dropped on July 25 and it is locked for release on AMC + on August 15.

The last season of the series will unravel in three parts in 2022. There are eight episodes of the ‘11B’ and ‘11C’ parts of the final season, which will premiere next year too.
