The Warriorr release date: When and where to watch the actioner starring Ram Pothineni, Krithi Shetty, Aadhi Pinisetty

Actor Ram Pothineni, who was last seen in Red, the Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Thadam, will be playing a cop for the first time in his career in The Warrior, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The Warriorr is special for more reasons than one, for it marks Ram Pothineni's debut in Tamil cinema and is also the first time that director N Lingusamy will be making a straight Telugu film. Krithi Shetty is cast as the female lead and Aadhi Pinisetty plays the antagonist in the actioner. The Warrrior hits theatres later this year on July 14.

Announcing the release date, a new poster from the film featuring an intense Ram was unveiled. The actor is seated on an explosive box on the platform of a railway station in the same. He appears injured and is till wielding a gun while scores of terrified goons are seen escaping from his sight. Nadhiya, Bharathiraja, Akshara Gowda are among others who'll be seen in crucial roles in The Warrior. Krithi Shetty plays the role of a chirpy girl named Whistle Mahalakshmi.

The Warrior is bankrolled by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen and is coming right after the success of their earlier production, Seetimaarr starring Gopichand, Tamannaah and Bhumika Chawla. The action drama presented by Pavan Kumar will have music by Devi Sri Prasad. Sujith Vaassudev handles cinematography for the film, which is heading towards completion in a few weeks. Sai Madhav Burra pens the dialogues for the Telugu version.

The technical crew of the film also comprises national award winning editor Navin Nooli, while DY Satyanarayana heads the art direction team. Sreenu Tadala is the costume designer while the action choreographer duo Anbariv takes care of the stunts. Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the streaming rights of The Warriorr.
