The Warriorr, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual, is set for a grand release on July 14. Directed by N Lingusamy, the cop drama starring Ram Pothineni, Krithi Shetty as the lead pair features Aadhi Pinisetty as the antagonist. The action entertainer, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad, is produced by Srinivasa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Pavan Kumar presents this bilingual.
The film’s theatrical trailer was launched today by Boyapati Sreenu. The Warriorr is set amidst Kurnool where Ram Pothineni plays a newly appointed cop, who solves cases as if it were a piece of cake. He falls in love with an RJ and the latter claims that, with little tweaks, he could be hero-material too. Aadhi Pinisetty is cast as a crooked local gangster who cares two hoots for law or cops.
Where is this good-versus-evil battle headed? The clash gets uglier with time and Ram cheekily advises Aadhi about taking the right medication and stop spending sleepless nights thinking about him. Nadhiya, who plays Ram’s mother in the film, shares a good on-screen, comical rapport with her on-screen son. Despite its conventional template, the trailer manages to entertain.
Siva Karthikeyan had unveiled the Tamil trailer. The film also stars Akshara Gowda and Redin Kingsley in pivotal roles. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the film while KGF Chapter 2, Vikram fame Anbariv have choreographed the stunts. Sujith Vassudev cranks the camera. The Warriorr will lock horns with Satyadev-Tamannaah starrer Gurthunda Seetha Kalam in its release week.
Ram Pothineni’s last release was the Thadam remake, Red, in 2021, while all Telugu films of his co-star Krithi Shetty to date - Bangarraju, Uppena and Shyam Singha Roy - have been successful at the box office.
