The Witcher 3: Robbie Amell, Meng'er Zhang and others join cast of Henry Cavill’s fantasy series

The Witcher fans can expect more new faces to cross paths with Geralt. The makers of the popular fantasy drama recently unveiled the new cast members who will join the show for its third season. They also revealed the characters they will play on the show.

Upload star Robbie Amell and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings actor Meng'er Zhang will join the series as Gallatin and Milva respectively. Hugh Skinner and Christelle Elwin will also appear in the show’s new season, essaying the roles of Prince Radovid and Mistle respectively. While unveiling the news on social media, the makers also included details of the character’s bio in the post.

The upcoming third season of the show had officially gone on floors recently, with production being kicked off in North Slovenia. The makers also posted a photograph featuring Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra and Freya Allen, sitting against a snow-clad landscape.

The official synopsis for the third season of The Witcher reads, “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri's magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl's untapped powers; instead, they discover they've landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever."

The third season will also feature Joey Batey, MyAnna Buring, Tom Canton, Jeremy Crawford, Eamon Farren, Mahesh Jadu, Terence Maynard, Lars Mikkelsen and Mimî M Khayisa, among others, who will reprise their roles from the previous seasons.

The first two seasons of The Witcher are available to stream on Netflix.
