Theeran Adhiragam Ondru sequel in the pipeline
The latest we hear about the sequel is that H Vinoth has narrated a one-liner to Karthi. After filming his next project, which is tentatively being referred to as KH 233, H Vinoth will narrate the entire script to the Ponniyin Selvan actor. The work on the film is likely to take off soon after the narration.
Theeran Adhigaram Ondru based on Operation Bawaria
The first instalment of the film was based on the incidents from the Operation Bawaria. This was an operation held by the Tamil Nadu police force against dacoity and murder , which was prevalent in the residential areas near the National Highway during the period of 1995 - 2006 and was carried out by the members of the Bawaria community from Rajasthan.
Karthi played Theeran, a police officer, who took down the gang. The film was shot across locations where the incidents took place for real to keep the authenticity factor. The film was lauded by the critics and audience alike for the way the incidents were portrayed. Theeran Adhigaram Ondru also went on to become a box office hit. The film also starred Rakul Preet and Abhimanyu Singh.
KH 233 in the works
In the meantime, H Vinoth is busy working on Kamal Haasan's next, which is tentatively being referred to as KH 233. Kamal Haasan had dropped an update in which he is seen undergoing gun training for the film at the rifle club. The video is titled 'Guts & Guns' and the makers had also used hashtags like #Training Begins, #FuriousAction and #RISEtoRULE. The film is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International.
