#TheExtraOrdiNAARIs: Saumya Tandon reveals the person who she thinks is extraordi-naari

For those who know actress Saumya Tandon will surely vouch for the fact that she is someone who is a super talented actress with her feet firmly planted to the ground. After hosting shows like ‘Dance India Dance’, ‘Bournvita Quiz Contest’ ‘Entertainment Ki Raat’, she hit the bull’s eye with her most memorable role as Anita Mishra in the most loved serial ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’. She, then, went onto play the role of Kareena Kapoor ’s sister in the cult film ‘Jab We Met’.

On the occasion of ‘Women’s Day’, OTT Play caught up with Saumya for an exclusive interview. While revealing the person who she thinks is ‘Extraordi-naari’, Saumya said, “TheExtraOrdiNAARI or the extraordinary woman that I would say that I have seen in my life would definitely be my sister Loveena Tandon. She is truly magnanimous, fiercely independent, super talented and a woman of substance. She has lived her life on her own terms. She has faced the consequences- good or bad, right or wrong. She has taken all the punches in her life and has given it back. She is truly magnanimous because, she never felt or said ‘I quit’. Whenever she falls, she gets up”.

She continued, “Whatever situation life has put her in, she really knows how to come out of it. She knows how to break the barrier. She knows how to rise up. She knows to make her place and to fight for her independence. Apart from all these beautiful qualities, what really and truly makes her truly and very extraordinary is the fact that whatever be the situation, internally or externally, she has a beautiful and positive soul intact. She’s compassionate, very positive, hopeful and truly a woman who is extraordinary”.

On the professional front, she has got quite a few plum assignments in her kitty, which, she said that ‘she would let us know when the time is right’. We simply second that, Saumya!
