Netflix recently dropped a teaser trailer to Thirty-Nine, a new K-drama about three friends as they navigate their impending 40s and "love, laughter, and unexpected loss" together.
Son Ye-jin (Crash Landing on You), Jeon Mi-do (Hospital Playlist) and Kim Ji-hyun (Artificial City) play the three friends, who seem to be a constant in each other's lives.
Right at the beginning of the clip, the three can be seen spending a lot of time together as the clip transitions to Son Ye-jin's character saying, "Calling them family isn't enough to describe them."
The trailer also sees them find their significant others, deal with a terminal illness, and the doomed idea of death that might change everything for them.
Yeon-Woo-jin, Lee Mu-saeng, Lee Tae-hwan, An So-hee, and Kang Mal-geum are also part of the cast.
The slice-of-life series is helmed by Kim Sang-ho, who directed Run On and Age Of Youth 2. Yoo Young-ah, who had also written hits like Encounter and Miracle In Cell No. 7, has penned the script.
Thirty-Nine is among the newest Korean titles that Netflix plans to release this year along with Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.
Netflix will release Thirty-Nine on February 16.
