THIS actor beat Shahid Kapoor to become the most popular OTT Indian star

Shahid Kapoor made his debut with Farzi earlier this year and took the internet by storm. However, the actor is not the most popular OTT actor currently. In the months of July-September, Shahid made it to top three but wasn’t the most loved. India’s much-loved actor Pankaj Tripathi took the spot. Pankaj, who was conferred with the National Award recently, is the most loved OTT actor. Wondering who are the others? Here’s the list.

Manoj Bajpayee and Shahid Kapoor in top 3

Manoj Bajpayee is the second most loved actor. Known for the Amazon Prime Video show The Family Man, Manoj was last seen in Ek Bandaa Hi Kaafi Hai. Meanwhile, Shahid had made his OTT debut with Farzi and was later seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bloody Daddy, which released directly on Jio Cinema.

Tamannaah Bhatia vs Nawazuddin Siddiqui in top 5

Tamannaah Bhatia started making headlines again since her stint on Lust Stories 2 with her real-life boyfriend, Vijay Varma. The actress was last seen in Aakhri Sach, a show based on the real-life incident of the Burari deaths. On the other hand, Nawazuddin Siddiqui came on the fifth spot. He was last seen in Haddi, which released on Zee5.

Others on the list

Kajol, who also made her web series debut this year, is sixth on the list. She was seen in The Good Wife adaptation, The Trial. Kajol was also a part of Lust Stories 2 this year.

Rajkummar Rao is still making headlines for his performance in Guns & Gulaabs. The show also starred Dulquer Salmaan and Adarsh Gourav in the lead roles.

Panchayat actor Jitendra Kumar made it to the list on the eighth spot. He was last seen in the second season of the show, which released in 2022. The actor has shot for the third season and it is expected to be out in 2024.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is best remembered for her debut in the Hindi film industry through her role in The Family Man 2. The actress is now a part of the big-budget project, Citadel, which is set in India. Directed by Raj and DK of The Family Man fame, the show features Varun Dhawan as the male lead.

OTT favourite Radhika Apte also made it to the list but on the 10th spot. The actress was last seen in Mrs Undercover which released on Zee5. She was also a part of Made In Heaven season 2.
