After having made her Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt’s ‘1920’, Adah Sharma went onto do some films which proved to be hits and superhits, whereas a handful of them sank at the box-office. Ever since the time ‘The Kerala Story’ got released, it catapulted Adah Sharma into a league where she should have reached much earlier in her career. But as they say... ‘better late than never’. Speaking of ‘The Kerala Story’, the film has opened to an extremely encouraging response at the box-office. The film went onto collect Rs. 6.75 - 7 crore nett (Day 1), which only means that the film has now managed to match the collections of the ‘Hollywood superhero film 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’.

The film’s leading lady, who can, rightly be called as the lady of the moment, recently took to social media and poured her heart out. Adah Sharma captioned the post stating, “Standing ovation in theatres , the honourable PM mentioning our film #TheKeralaStory ,critics and audience applauding my performance , HOUSEFULL messages from so many of you, bumper opening ! I could never have dreamed of so much. All your dreams for me are coming true #Greatful. And for the the few still calling #TheKeralaStory a propaganda film ,saying these incidents do not exist even after watching testimonials of several Indian victims and their parents,,,my humble request , Google two words ISIS and Brides...maybe an account of white girls narrated to you might make you feel that our Indian movie is real. #adahsharma”.

There have been many places wherein the film ‘The Kerala Story’ has now been made tax-free. The latest state to make this film tax free is now Madhya Pradesh. While declaring the ‘The Kerala Story’ tax-free in the state, Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that the film exposes the horrific face of love jihad, religious conversion, and terrorism.
