Celebrated comedian turned actress Mallika Dua is in a happy frame of mind as her new show, Badtameez Dil, has been released, in which she plays a pivotal role.

Being the daughter of the veteran journalist Vinod Dua and Dr. Padmavati Dua, who were widely loved and popular among youngsters for their work, OTTplay asked Mallika how they would have responded to her new show. Unfortunately, both passed away in 2021 due to COVID-19 complications.

Asked what she thinks of how her parents would have reacted to her new show, Mallika said to OTTplay, "My papaji was more into news, documentaries, world views, and serious content; as you know, he was more of a newsman, so he used to not watch such rom-com web series, etc. He was not that audience, you know, but I know Mumma would have called and messaged everyone to tell them to watch my show. That was Mumma."

In the past, Mallika acted in Irrfan Khan's film Hindi Medium, along with Namaste England, Zero, and Indoo Ki Jawani.

The 10-episode series Badtameez Dil is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and stars Barun Sobti and Ridhi Dogra as leads, and the story revolves around them.

Set in London, the show is streaming on Amazon miniTV.
