This is what Raashii Khanna told about ‘Farzi 2’ status update

Ever since the time the Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Farzi’ was released on Prime Video, it had been making news for all the right reasons. Be its watertight script or the top-of-the-order acting talent exhibited by the show’s lead stars like Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora and others. Even though everyone’s performance was definitely talked about, Raashii Khanna came as a surpr ise package. She simply blew everyone’s mind with her performance in the series.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Raashii Khanna said that people are really looking forward to part two of ‘Farzi’. She even went onto reveal that the shooting for Farzi 2 will motsly start next year. And the reason which was cited by Raashii Khanna was that, they had to wrap up ‘Citadel’, which will be followed by The Family Man 3,

Raashii Khanna added, “So I think next year we will start shooting. We waited for this (Farzi season 1) also for very long. We started shooting in 2020-end, and now it’s 2023. I hope it happens soon because I know people are really looking forward to it.”

Besides Raashii Khanna, there was also one more surprise in the series which people were eagerly awaiting to see. Yes... We are indeed talking about the southern sensation Vijay Sethupathi. After having garnered positive response and appreciation from everyone in ‘Farzi’, Vijay Sethupathi hassigned his maiden web series in Tamil, which will be helmed by M Manikandan. The series will stream on Disney + Hotstar. Sharing his excitement about the Tamil web series, Vijay Sethupathi posted a photograph from the puja ceremony. He even captioned the post stating, “Happy to start my first web series in Tamil for @disneyplusHSTam, Directed by #MManikandan with an auspicious pooja! @7CsPvtPte @Aaru_Dir @shammysaga @RajeshMRadio @epitole @jacki_art @yogeshdir @Kavitha_Stylist (sic)."
