One of the many surprises the highly celebrated magnum opus Avengers: Infinity War threw at us was Peter Dinklage’s appearance in the movie. The beloved actor played the role of Eitri, King of the Dwarves of Nidavellir. The actor has now teased the fans about an MCU return with Thor: Love and Thunder.

While on the Empire Film Podcast, the actor said something that, though does not confirm anything, hints at his involvement in the upcoming sequel. He almost gave in before realising it and how well the MCU protects leaks.

“Umm, well there’s another Thor movie there, isn’t there, that’s coming out? That Taika’s directed? What – I didn’t say anything. I didn’t say anything. What? What?,” teased the actor in the podcast.

While the makers of Thor: Love and Thunder have successfully kept most details under wraps, it is confirmed that Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the God of Thunder while Natalie Portman also returns as Jane Foster. Members of the Guardians of the Galaxy crew are also expected to be in the movie, before their standalone film.

In Avengers: Infinity War, Dinklage’s Eitri was found by Thor when he reveals that Thanos used them to make the Infinity Gauntlet. With the help of Rocket and Groot, he then creates the Stormbreaker for Thor.

Other big names that will be seen in the third Thor movie are Christian Bale as Gorr, the God Butcher and Russell Crowe as Zeus. The movie is helmed by Taika Waititi, who impressed everyone as the director of Thor: Ragnarok.

The movie, which is the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is scheduled to hit theatres on July 8, 2022.
