Thor: Love and Thunder, the latest MCU movie, hit theatres around the country on July 7. The movie opened with the fifth biggest first day collection for a Hollywood movie in the country, and began its box office journey. The latest reports about the movie’s first weekend collection states that Thor 4 has minted Rs. 64 crore after Sunday.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Thor: Love and Thunder has finished its extended first weekend with the fifth biggest opening weekend for a Hollywood movie in the country. The movie made Rs. 18.40 crore on Sunday, taking its first weekend total to Rs. 64.80 crore.
Having made a massive Rs. 18.20 crore on its opening day in India, the movie has managed to make more money on its first Sunday than opening day. The movie is also sitting on top of the box office charts in the US, pulling down Minions: The Rise of Gru to second spot. The movie has made a massive $302 million across the globe after just four days. -
The fourth standalone Thor movie is helmed by Taika Waititi, who also directed Thor: Ragnarok. The movie also stars Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, the movie’s main antagonist.
