In 2025, it was announced that Mohanlal's daughter is set for her acting debut with, Thudakkam, helmed by popular filmmaker Jude Anthany Joseph. According to sources, the film, which will soon be completed, will debut in theatres soon. In the meantime, the film's first poster was released today (January 12), indicating that it will be released in August.

The most recent poster features Vismaya calmly facing the camera from a bus window seat, while Ashish Antony's character is seated behind her with a blurry yet crooked look on his face. There are now speculations that the movie is about the risks a young woman faces when travelling by herself. The poster also revealed that the film, which looks to be a thriller, will be released on the big screen in Onam 2026.
Online reports state that the Malayalam superstar's role in Thudakkam will be filmed in two to three days, and the entire production will be finished by February. The other Malayalam film scheduled for simultaneous release is Prithviraj Sukumaran's Khalifa. It's interesting to note that Mohanlal has cameo appearances in both of these movies. The remaining members of the Thudakkam cast have not yet been disclosed by the filmmakers.
