Thudarum OTT release date: After a stellar run at the theatres, Mohanlal's blockbuster Malayalam thriller will be available for streaming in five languages.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s second blockbuster of the year Thudarum is all set to make its highly anticipated OTT release this week. The latest Malayalam film, helmed by Operation Java director Tharun Moorthy, will release on JioHotstar on May 30, 2025. The blockbuster thriller will also be available to stream in Hindi and Telugu.
Mohanlal’s Thudarum on OTT
After the phenomenal success of Lucifer sequel Empuraan, Mohanlal returned to the big screens with Thudarum on April 25, 2025. After a stellar run at the theatres, Thudarum will release on JioHotstar on Friday in five languages. Fans of Malayalam cinema can stream the film in their language of choice on the OTT platform. Apart from Malayalam, the film will also be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.

Thudarum plot and cast
Mohanlal stars as Shanmugham, a cab driver, who is called ‘Benz’ by his dear and near ones. He, along with his wife and two children, lives in a small town in Kerala. Shobana plays his wife Lalitha, marking the reunion of the iconic onscreen pair. Prakash Varma, who marks his acting debut with Thudarum, plays the main antagonist, George Sir, a senior cop. After a series of incidents, their paths cross and Benz vows to take down those who harmed his loved ones.
Farhaan Faasil, and Binu Pappu also play cops who find themselves at odds with Benz. Thomas Mathew and Amritha Varshini appear as his children, while Maniyanpilla Raju and Irshad Ali are Benz's friends. Sangeeth Prathap of Premalu fame is also seen in a brief role.
Tharun Moorthy has helmed Thudarum after his National Award-winning film, Saudi Vellakka. K R Sunil has penned the script of Thudarum, which raked in over Rs 200 crore at the box office.
Mohanlal’s next Malayalam release is Hridayapoorvam, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. Malavika Mohanan plays the female lead in the much-awaited film, which also features Sangeeth Prathap. Hridayapoorvam is set to release in theatres during Onam 2025.
