Thug Life release date and OTT partner

Thug Life has chosen a summer release, and will be hitting theatres on June 5. As of now, no other Tamil films are releasing on that day, making it perfect for a solo release. Heavy anticipation lays on the film, given it is a reunion of Kamal Haasan and Alaipayuthey filmmaker Mani Ratnam who delivered the cult classic gangster film Nayakan way back in 1987.

The first single Jinguchaa is now out! Netizens have already started crooning to the song, which is scored by AR Rahman. Picturised as a wedding song, and there is no introduction needed for such songs in Mani Ratnam films, Jinguchaa has lyrics written by Mani Ratnam himself, and has voices lent by Vaishali Samant, Shakthisree Gopalan and Adithya RK. The surprise is however, when Mrs actor Sanya Malhotra makes an appearance and shakes a leg along with Silambarasan in the film.

From the single, it is evident that a wedding is to take place in Kamal Haasan’s household, with actors Trisha, Silambarasan, Abhirami, and others also present. However, apart from them, Thug Life also features Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Nasser, Ali Fazal and others.
