Thug Life, the highly anticipated upcoming Kamal Haasan starrer, which is helmed by veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam, started rolling in February 2024. The multi-starrer film, which is touted to be an action drama, stars popular star Silambarasan in a pivotal role. A location picture of the star cast, which was clicked at the New Delhi sets of the film, recently went viral on social media. Now, recent updates suggest that the makers of Thug Life are finally set to reveal Silambarasan’s official first look from the film soon.
Thug Life update – Silambarasan's first look to be revealed soon?
Recently, the makers of Thug Life recently took to the official social media handles of production banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies and dropped a special update. As per the recent update, director Mani Ratnam and his team are set to drop the first look of popular actor Silambarasan, who plays a pivotal role in the film very soon. “It's time for a New Beginning, let’s welcome the New Thug Tomorrow at 10 am,” reads the social media post of RKFI, which consists of a special announcement video that announces the arrival of a ‘Sigma Thug’.
Even though the makers have not officially announced any details of the upcoming ‘Sigma Thug’ reveal, the netizens suggest that the team is indeed planning to reveal the first look of the Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu actor, on May 8, 2024, at 10 AM. If the reports are to be believed, Simbu is planning an important character in the Kamal Haasan-starrer and is expected to appear in multiple looks just like the leading man. More updates on the talented actor’s character are expected to be out soon.
When Simbu replaced Dulquer Salmaan in Thug Life
For the uninitiated, Dulquer Salmaan was originally supposed to play the character, which is now essayed by Silambarasan, in Thug Life. The OK Kanmani actor, however, had to exit from the Mani Ratnam directorial after the shooting of the film was delayed due to leading man Kamal Haasan’s political commitments. Along with Dulquer, popular Tamil actor Jayam Ravi, who was roped in to appear in a key role in the film, also opted out of the project due to the same reason.
