Thunivu: After Rajinikanth, Ajith to get 2am shows in Karnataka; Kerala fans erect giant cutout of the actor

The Thunivu team has been promoting the film extensively and the latest we hear is that Ajith's action entertainer will have its first show at 2am in Karnataka. This is the first time that Ajith is getting 2am shows for his film in the state. The record was so far held by Superstar Rajinikanth alone and with Ajith, too, getting the slot, he is the second Kollywood actor to make it to the list. The move has come as a pleasant surprise for fans of the actor.

In the meantime, Ajith fans have erected one of the biggest flex in the history of Kerala. The cutout is said to be 50-ft tall and is said to be one of the biggest flexs in the state. Fans in Coimbatore, too, have erected a 60-ft tall cutout of the actor at a movie hall in Thudiyalur.

A special preview show was held last evening in Chennai for which Ajith's wife, former actress Shalini was present. Fans shared pictures with the actress on their social media handles.

Thunivu, directed by H Vinoth, is said to be a heist thriller, which stars Ajith, Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani,  John Kokken, Veera and Vishwanath. The film is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor and distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.

The trailer of the film features a dapper Ajith all set to swindle money from a bank where he has everyone at gunpoint. We also get to see Manju Warrier firing away. The actress had recently stated in an interview that it was Ajith who taught her to hold a gun. Samuthirakani, who is sharing screen space with Ajith for the first time, has stated that the film will be a complete action entertainer. The film will take on Vijay's Varisu, which is also releasing on the same date as Thunivu on January 11.
