As Thunivu gears up for Pongal 2023 release, the latest we hear about the film is that Ajith has wrapped up dubbing for his portions. Pictures of Ajith at the recording studio during his dubbing session have been doing the rounds on the internet. In the pictures, Ajith is seen dressed casually and in a happy mood. He is also seen carefully going through his lines. The picture is said to have been clicked by the film's leading Manju Warrier.

Interestingly, it was only recently that Manju Warrier, too, had wrapped up dubbing for her portions. The actress had shared pictures of herself from the studio and had captioned it, No Guts, No Glory, which is also the tagline of Thunivu. This is Manju's maiden film with Ajith, after her critically acclaimed Tamil debut with Vetri Maaran’s Asuran where she collaborated with Dhanush.

Thunivu, helmed by H Vinoth, is said to be a heist thriller, which is loosely based on a bank robbery that took place in Punjab in the 1980s. Ajith had undergone a body transformation for his character and will be seen in dual roles in the film. The star cast includes Samuthirakani, GM Sundar, Veera, John Kokken, Ajay, Cibi Chandran, Amir, Pavani Reddy to name a few. Amir and Pavani had recently shared that they had completed dubbing for their portions, too. Chat show host Mamathi Chari, too, has shared that she enjoyed working in the film.

Music for the film is by Ghibran. This is the third collaboration between Ajith, H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor after they worked together in Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. The film will take on Vijay's family drama-cum-action entertainer Varisu, which is helmed by Vamshi Paidipally. After the release of Thunivu, Ajith will team up with director Vignesh Shivan, who had last directed Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
