Thunivu and Varisu: Ponniyin Selvan actress Trisha watches back-to-back shows of Ajith and Vijay film

Even as the buzz around Trisha playing the lead in both Thalapathy67 and AK62 grows stronger, the Ponniyin Selvan actress, today watched the FDFS of both Ajith's Thunivu at 1am and Vijay's Varisu at 4am today. The South Queen had shared a story on her social media handle, in which she shared a picture along with Archana Kalpathi, the CEO of AGS Cinemas and friends and captioned it, "Back to Back FDFS #ThalaThalapathyPongal. One of the fans spotted Trisha during the Varisu show and got mighty excited. In the video, Trisha is seen gesturing  to watch Vijay instead on a fun note.

Thunivu producer Boney Kapoor was spotted during the FDFS of Thunivu and seemed to have been quite impressed with the audience's reaction to the action entertainer. On the other hand, the team of Varisu including Dil Raju, Vamshi Paidipally, and lyricist Vivek, too, watched the film during the FDFS in Chennai. Lokesh Kanagaraj and Keerthy Suresh watched the FDFS of Varisu.

In the meantime, Kollywood film fraternity has wished both teams. Arya wrote on his social media handle, "Wishing @actorvijay Na @directorvamshi brother @shaamactor bhai and the entire team of #Varisu a blockbuster Advance Pongal Treat (sic)." He also wished Thunivu team, "Wishing #Ajith sir #HVinoth brother and the whole team of #Thunivu a blockbuster hit  advance Pongal treat for all (sic)."

Film producer Dhananjayan shared a poster from a Chennai theatre that had a joint poster of Ajith and Vijay. He captioned it, "My best wishes to #Varisu & #Thunivu Teams. Expecting both the films to set the box office on fire during these Pongal holidays & make everyone happy (audience, theatres, distributors & producers). A lovely banner at @greencinemas_ by Fans. Do watch in Theatres both films (sic).

With good reviews pouring in for both films and both Ajith and Vijay's performance in Thunivu and Varisu being lauded, it looks like its #ThalaThalapathyPongal indeed.
