It isn’t every year that Salman Khan marks his presence on Diwali. But when he does, the majority of the time, he has a good film and a box office winner to offer. The actor is all set to bounce back to the big screen after a series of duds with a formula that has worked for him very well. He will meet us in the theatres this Sunday, on Diwali, with Tiger 3. But as the franchise returns after over half a decade, there are, of course, some expectations from it, and today, we lost them down here.

If you are a fan, it’s a bed of roses, but if you aren’t, you are also of the opinion that Ek Tha Tiger (2012) was way superior to Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), which borderline tried to cash in on the momentum. The sequel did not land as well as the first installment did, and that kind of also puts too much added pressure on the threequel that is due this Sunday, also starring Khan alongside Katrina Kaif’s Zoya.

So now that we are gearing up for Tiger 3 this Diwali, we are here to list down our expectations for the movie and how important it is for Salman Khan to finally deliver a successful movie.

A Better Plot

Let’s be honest with ourselves, Salman Khan, and Katrina Kaif: the Tiger Zinda Hai storyline was a bad rip-off of Take-Off. All it could do was create a caricature villain who believed in killing an assassin-level agent with gas and following a process rather than just simply shooting him with a gun in the head. Tiger 3 not only deserves better than what was served last. And add to it that even Salman has suffered some pretty bad scripts outside the Tiger universe most recently, so it will also be a good change if the plot is good. We can only hope.

A Bulletproof Music Album

Sorry to report, but none of the two songs that have been released from the album have landed even close to the magic of the last two albums yet. Ek Tha Tiger was a Sajid-Wajid creation where the songs were peppy and groovy with some sprinkles of romance and sadness. The album was an instant hit and was loved. Tiger Zinda Hai was Vishal-Shekhar who created some very trendy yet rooted songs, even bringing in Neha Bhasin for a soul-soothing number. The latest is a Pritam album, and there has to be some redemption.

A Lot More Attention On Katrina Kaif

Katrina, as Zoya, has always been a very interesting character. She can dance like a breeze, beat people like an assassin, and still be the Bollywood heroine dancing on top of snow-clad mountains in gowns and sarees. The Katrina post Zero is an actor waiting for good opportunity, and what better than giving her some alone screen time in her hit franchise? She doesn’t have to be at service to Tiger all the time; she can stand tall as Zoya.

Some More Evolution In The Action Department

Action has been the crux of the Tiger franchise, and the makers have never let it down. With a new director directing his first action film, it does raise some alarms. Maneesh Sharma is synonymous with films like Fan and Band Baaja Baaraat. We hope that the action quotient only goes higher and gets more innovative. Katrina combating a baddie in a Hamam has already grabbed attention, and fans are curious to see what’s more in store.

And Last But Not The Least, Salman Khan

The version of Salman Khan we have been witnessing lately is more of ‘we need to finish work and run back home faster.’ This isn’t the superstar we grew up watching. Even in mediocre movies, he had his style and charm intact. Maybe dancing with a towel and making it iconic, playing an electric guitar without any presence of sockets around him. He sold it all, and we bought it. We need Salman back. Tiger 3, please be good.
