Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Tiger 3 has set the cash register ringing. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the action-thriller was released on Diwali, November 12. The film hit the big screen on a Sunday. Despite that, the movie has earned Rs 180.50 crore (gross) in India.
Considering the worldwide gross box office collection of Tiger 3, the film is now inching closer to Rs 250-crore mark globally.

Salman and Katrina's Tiger 3 minted Rs 180.50 crore (gross) in India while the film earned Rs 59.50 crore (gross) overseas. The total worldwide box office collection of the YRF film stands at Rs 240 crore (gross). Needless to say, the action-thriller will cross the Rs 250-crore mark today at the global BO.
For the uninitiated, the movie is performing exceedingly well at the ticket window. It has turned out to be the biggest weekend opening film of the Tiger franchise.
About the Tiger franchise
Tiger franchise started with Ek Tha Tiger which was directed by Kabir Khan. The second installment was titled Tiger Zinda Hai. It was helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Interestingly, YRF started its spy universe with this franchise.
And Tiger 3 happens to be the fifth spy film by Yash Raj Films. The upcoming movies of this universe include War 2 (ft. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR) and Tiger vs Pathaan (starring Salman and Shah Rukh Khan).
What's next for Salman Khan?
Salman will reportedly begin shooting for Tiger vs Pathaan with SRK in 2024. Apart from this action-thriller, the superstar will work with Shershaah director Vishuvardhan on his untitled next. The movie will be bankrolled by Karan Johar under his production house, Dharma Productions.
It is being reported that Salman's new haircut is for the same project. As per media reports, Khan will be seen playing the role of army personnel in the movie. This year, Salman also had a theatrical release on Eid with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
