The biopic of the infamous thief from Stuartpuram is directed by Vamsee
Ravi Teja, who had two releases this year - the fairly successful Waltair Veerayya and the rather disappointing Ravanasura - will be seen in his first pan-Indian film Tiger Nageswara Rao, the biopic of the infamous thief based out of Stuartpuram, Andhra Pradesh. The film is directed by Vamsee and is produced by Abhishek Agarwal under Abhishek Agarwal Arts, the banner behind The Kashmir Files, Karthikeya 2 and the upcoming The Vaccine War.
Tiger Nageswara Rao will be releasing in five languages - Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada - on October 20 commemorating Dussehra. The film has two female leads - Nupur Sanon (sister to national-award winning actress Kriti Sanon) and Gayatri Bhardwaj, both of whom are making their Telugu debut. The makers revealed a key update about the film’s first single today. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music for the same.
“TIGER's Super Entertaining and Energetic Avatar for a peppy number. #TigerNageswaraRao First Single #EkDumEkDum out on September 5th. A @gvprakash musical. In cinemas from October 20th,” the makers wrote about the song Ek Dum Ek Dum. In the poster shared by the makers, Ravi Teja, in a massy avatar, is flirting with Nupur Sanon and is backed by a group of men.
Nupur Sanon appears more like a college student in the poster. While talking about the song in response to a Ravi Teja fan, GV Prakash Kumar tweeted, “It will be perfect for Ravi Teja sir’s mass and attitude. A love song with mass attitude and peppy beats- he has carried it with his mass attitude . Will blaze screens.” The singer names, lyricists haven’t been announced yet.
Renu Desai, Anupam Kher play other important roles in the film. The crew also comprises cinematographer R Madhie, while the dialogues are written by Srikanth Vissa. Avinash Kolla is the production designer for the film presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal and co-produced by Mayank Singhaniya. Tiger Nageswara Rao will lock horns with two other biggies for Dussehra - Bhagavanth Kesari and Leo.
