While Tiger Shroff is making news for his next titled Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which stars Akshay Kumar, Alaya F, and Manushi Chillar alongside him, he is also in the news for the multiple projects he is a part of and many he is speculated to be joining. One such movie that has been a topic of discussion for a long time is Tiger Shroff starrer Hero No. 1, which stars his Baaghi 2 co-star Disha Patani alongside him. The movie, which was said to be in the making later last year, was the talk of the town as it was first supposed to star Sara Ali Khan and was later replaced by Disha. The latest rumors now, however, suggest that the makers have now put the film on the backburner.

Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani’s Hero No. 1 Shelved?

Well, the latest reports in Times Entertainment now claim that the makers of Hero No. 1 have decided to put the film on the backburner. The Bhagnanis have decided to shelve the project for the moment as they focus on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which is their next big-ticket film. The report says that there is no reason revealed behind the move, but it is being said that the future of the movie now depends on the success of the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff Eid release and how it fares at the box office.

Additionally, these reports reveal that director Jagan Shakti, known for directing Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal, was hired to direct Hero No. 1, but it turns out that he has also moved on to other projects now. Even the technicians who were attached to the project have been released by the production house. This means the makers will regroup if Bade Miyan Chote Miyan works, and only that can now decide the future of the Tiger Shroff movie.

But Is Hero No. 1 A Remake?

Well, if the reports are to be believed, it is not. Pooja Entertainment is trying to revamp its successful past IPs for the new generation. Apart from the title, Hero No. 1 will have no similarities to the 1997 film that starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. They have followed the same strategy as Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. While the yesteryear movie starring Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan was a comedy film, the latest one is an actioner.

Did Hero No. 1 Go On Floors?

After Disha Patani replaced Sara Ali Khan due to date issues, in October it was said that the film was on track. It was said that the team even shot a schedule for Hero No. 1 in September 2023 and was planning to go on floors for a full-fledged schedule in January 2024. However, those plans have now gone for a toss and the film stands on uncertain waters.

As for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, it is set to release in theaters on April 10, 2024. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
