HBO Max dropped the trailer of season 3 of the superhero series, Titans, and it hints at some huge changes in the show. When a long term ally dies, a devastated Batman (Iain Glen) is ready to step down, passing on the mantle to Dick Grayson/Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites) and tells him to be a “better Batman”.

While the team split up at the end of season two, they are reunited in Gotham after Jason Todd/Robin (Curran Walters) is brutally murdered by Joker.

New characters which have joined the cast include Savannah Welch as Gotham’s new police commissioner Barbara Gordon, Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men fame) as Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow, the Arkham Asylum inmate and Jay Lycurgo (of I May Destroy You’s fame) as Tim Drake.

The trailer was accompanied with the caption: When you come after family, they'll show no mercy. Titans Season 3 is slated to release on August 12. The first two instalments are now streaming on Netflix.
