Shruti Haasan fans seem to have a lot to celebrate on the actress’ birthday today. In addition to being treated to her first look from the Prabhas starrer Salaar today, fans also got an exciting update on the star’s upcoming debut series from Amazon. The streamer unveiled the series’ title and release date today.
Amazon Prime Video made the announcement on their official social media handles, unveiling a poster for the upcoming series as well.
The Amazon original series is titled Bestseller and the poster features the lead cast, which includes and stars Haasan, Mithun Chakraborty, Gauahar Khan, Arjan Bajwa and Satyajeet Dubey.
The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 18.

The series is based on the book The Bestseller She Wrote, written by Ravi Subramanian. It tells the story of a successful bestselling author whose life takes a turn when he meets a young woman named Shreya, whose greatest ambition in life is to become an established writer herself. As their worlds collide, it leads to a series of unwise decisions motivated by ambition, passion and greed, which have the potential to ruin the life the author has built for himself. The upcoming series is touted to be a gritty psychological thriller and also features Sonalee Kulkarni in a pivotal role.
Mukul Abhyankar has directed the series from a script written by Anvita Dutt and Althea Kaushal. Bestseller is produced under the banner of Alchemy Production LLP, by Siddharth Malhotra.
