The third instalment of the much awaited film, Venom has resumed for the shooting. It was paused due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Tom Hardy took to Instagram and announced the exciting news. “We're thrilled to be back on set.” He wrote, “I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to all the teams who have been involved in this journey from 'V1' to now. To our incredible cast and crew, who have become like family, we've come so far.”
The Venom trilogy follows the story of an alien symbiote that bonds with journalist Eddie Brock. The film is set in the same universe as Spider-Man, but it is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Venom 3 release date
Venom 3 is directed by Kelly Marcel, who also wrote the screenplay. The film stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady. The film was previously scheduled to release in July, but now it is pushed to November 8, 2024.
What did Hardy share?
While sharing a monochromatic picture with director Kelly Marcel and stunt double Jacob Tomuri, Hardy also wrote, “The Last dance — thankfully we are back to shooting. It’s been and continues to be a lot of fun on this journey — there’s always hard turns to burn when we work but it doesn't feel as hard when you love what you do and when you know you have great material and the support at all sides of a great team.”
