Tom Wilkinson, who is renowned for his cinematic performances in several hits, passed away at the age of 75. The Full Monty, Michael Clayton, and several notable film legends have left Hollywood reeling with shock ahead of the New Year. His death was confirmed by the family and reported by his agent.
Tom Wilkinson’s demise
The year 2023 has witnessed several cinema legends passing away and leaving a void in the entertainment industry with their absence of passionate craft. With Matthew Perry, Ryan O'Neal, and Norman Lear’s demise in the last few weeks, now the British actor Tom Wilkinson has also passed away suddenly.
Reportedly, Wilkinson’s agent shared in a statement about his sudden death on the family’s behalf.
“It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Wilkinson announce that he died suddenly at home on December 30. His wife and family were with him,” the statement obtained by BBC read.
The late actor is now survived by the actor's wife Diana Hardcastle and two daughters, Alice and Molly.
Wilkinson was an acclaimed actor who bagged two Oscar nominations for his impeccable work in ‘Michael Clayton’ and ‘In the Bedroom’ His role as Arthur Edens, attorney at Kenner in the 2007 legal thriller and George Clooney starrer was lauded for the craft.
