Two Much Episode 4: Chunky Panday credits Govinda for his acting debut, narrates his hilarious ‘bathroom break’ incident

Kajol and Twinkle Khanna bring another dose of lighthearted entertainment with the fourth episode of Two Much that dropped on Thursday as Chunky Panday and Govinda graced Prime Video’s chat show. In a candid conversation about Chunky Panday’s career break, he narrated how Govinda is the one who is credited for his career break. When asked how, Chunky revealed that the first movie, which became his debut, was actually initially offered to Govinda, but since he was busy, he turned down the offer that became a major part of Chunky’s life.

Chunky Panday's bathroom break

Reminiscing about an incident when he landed his first acting break in Pahlaj Nihalani’s film, Chunky Panday revealed how Govinda’s rejection for Aag Hi Aag set a path for his acting career. He narrated a funny story where he bumped into producer Pahlaj Nihalani, who launched Govinda in 1986 and also was the one who launched Chunky a year later.

“I happened to bump into Pahlaj Nihalani in a bathroom. My career started there! So Pahlaj did Ilzaam with him (Govinda), which was a superhit. But when I met him in the bathroom, I didn't know him. There was no social media back in the day. So we were both in the bathroom, and my Naada (drawstring) was stuck with a knot. I wanted someone to help me open it. He helped me open it,” Chunky revealed.

He also narrated that the conversation then led to their introduction when the aspiring actor met a producer by chance and also received an invitation to visit him, which later turned into an offer. “I introduced myself, saying my name is Chunky Panday, and he said, ‘What a strange name!’ I said yes, but I want to be in films. He said, "Come to my house next day and meet me." And the next day I bagged the role,” Chunky added.
